About Us
We're BEAM, an independent coffee roaster based in the village of Audlem, Cheshire. We are a family-run business that aims to deliver freshly roasted specialty coffee direct from our home to yours, and we'd love to tell you a bit about ourselves.
Our Story

After taking early retirement in 2024, Ian and his wife Kathryn moved to Audlem to live closer to their daughter Grace, son-in-law George and their newborn grandchild. George and Ian had always bonded over a love for coffee, and have mused over one day working in the coffee industry. Once he arrived in Cheshire, Ian was surprised to find very few local coffee roasters and found himself ordering coffee from all over the country. So, in early 2025 George and Ian took the plunge and decided to take matters into their own hands. They bought their own 5kg coffee roaster, and started learning how to roast coffee in Ian's garage. A few burnt beans, a lot of caffeine and one or two business meetings at the local pub later... BEAM was born.
We continue to run from Ian and Kathryn's home, and are still run entirely by our little family - but we dream one day of having a small local premises from which we can serve coffee directly to you.

Here at BEAM, coffee forms an essential part of our day-to-day lives. Our mission is to deliver high-quality coffee so you can enjoy a consistently delicious cup on a daily-basis, without breaking the bank. Whether a quick espresso to wake you up in the morning, or a leisurely flat white shared with a friend, we believe every sip should make you BEAM.
We focus on doing the basics well. While we love the delicious yet weird and wonderful coffees out there, we appreciate that most people simply want a quality, cup of coffee - that tastes like coffee! This philosophy is represented by our flagship Audlem Blend, which combines Brazilian and Columbian beans for that classic chocolate and nuts taste.
